— Kayla Woo, Professional Singer

Hey, I'm Sam!

...

My story isn't normal either.

Growing up, I was a loner. Bullied at school. When I was 8 my mum left β€” she struggled with her mental health β€” and I learned, really young, that the world wasn't always a safe place to show how you felt.

When I did show how I felt, I was labelled "China Doll" or told I was "too sensitive." So I hid.

(I now know I'm ADHD, dyslexic and a highly sensitive person. Back then I just knew I felt EVERYTHING β€” every single thing β€” and had nowhere to put it.)

Except the piano.

One day, hiding from the bullies, I found a piano room at school and started making up little melodies. The tears came quickly β€” and for the first time, I was able to self-soothe and feel safe.

I had no teacher. But after making up little things on the piano I started noticing patterns. Then I brought my voice in and started writing songs. I just sat there, alone, and let whatever was inside me come out through the keys. It was the only place I felt safe enough to actually feel.

At 14, I convinced my family to send me to drama school β€” and something shifted. When I sat down and played, people stopped. They looked at me differently. For the first time in my life I went from feeling completely invisible to feeling... seen. Like maybe I had something worth sharing after all.

I went to university to study music. Finished, still unable to read a single note. Classic. πŸ˜…

After uni I ended up in London working as a care worker. I was in a relationship that wasn't good for me β€” and honestly, my confidence was at an all-time low.

But there was this voice inside me I just couldn't silence. My dream to be a professional musician.

Then, after being let go from two jobs within days of each other, I hit rock bottom.

I remembered a mentor who had done a course called the Landmark Forum β€” one of the most incredible humans I'd ever met. Then I went to a gig, and the promoter looked me dead in the eyes and said:

"When will you realise you're amazing?"

I was blown away. I cried. Turns out he'd done the same course.

"Sam," he said. "Put it on your credit card."

I did.

It changed my life.

Within six months I was auditioning for my first piano vocal job on a cruise ship.

And I got it.

But here's the thing β€” I knew three songs.

Within six weeks I'd learned over 300. I was awful, I'm not going to lie β€” but it was a real sink or swim moment. And I swam.

After that first contract, I was off. I travelled the world on ships and played at some of London's most exclusive hotels β€” the Dorchester, the Savoy β€” performing in front of seriously famous people.

But there it was again. That voice.

I needed to release my OWN music. Not just sing covers.

After writing a slightly tipsy email to producer Tim Bidwell β€” who had worked with Kate Walsh and Lucy Rose β€” I found myself driving down to his studio in Brighton. Six months later, my album "England" was done.

But the music industry is brutal. And somewhere along the way I'd quietly lost why I fell in love with music in the first place.

Training as a music therapist was supposed to be my plan B β€” the thing I did because I hadn't "made it" by 30.

Β

But honestly? It saved me.

Because it brought me right back to why I fell in love with music in the first place.

Not performing. Not approval.

Healing. Self-expression. Finally being seen and heard.

Β

Then 2020 happened. COVID hit. And I created The Singer's Piano β€” a company that taught piano vocals my way. Without reading music.

What was interesting was that over the first six months, students were more excited about something they hadn't expected.

Yes, they learned to sing and play.

But the songwriting β€” that's what hit deepest.

Our 8 week programme, Express Your Truth, was born. Hundreds of students came through it. But after our time together, I kept noticing the same thing β€” they needed more. They needed somewhere to keep going. A community. Ongoing support β€” not just for the skills, but for the courage it takes to keep showing up for your own heart.

That's why YourTruth Amplified exists.

To this day I remember that 23 year old care worker with a voice inside her she couldn't ignore. I remember the frustration. The loneliness. How much it hurt to not be doing my music. I was so fortunate to have a few cheerleaders along the way β€” and that's exactly what I want this community to be for you.

Because you could find a piano teacher.

Or a singing teacher.

But not only will they teach you half the skill β€” they won't teach you to actually BE a piano vocalist, bringing both hands and voice together.

And they definitely won't hold you on the days when you're just about to give up.Β

Trust me β€” if it was just about learning a skill, there would be a lot more musicians in the world.Β

It's that inner chatter. Those insecurities. Those limiting beliefs.

And that's why YourTruth Amplified is different.

We help you find your voice again. We give you back the confidence you had as a childΒ

β€” before the naysayers told you that you weren't good enough.Β

We remind you why you fell in love with music in the first place.

Whether you're an absolute beginner or already performing β€” this is somewhere safe to finally let your heart out through piano, vocals and songwriting. With people around you who get it, every step of the way.

From wherever you are now... to feeling completely, finally, like yourself. 🎡

Keep reading β€” everything you need to know is right here on this page.

Just don't get distracted and put this off, my friend β€” yes, I'm talking to you ADHDs out there! πŸ˜„

Because what we do today creates our tomorrow.

YourTruth Amplified β€” everything included

And if you've been quietly nodding this whole time…

I created YourTruth Amplified specifically to help YOU finally express yourself freely and confidently through piano, vocals and songwriting β€” and surround you with a community that holds you every step of the way.

βž”Β  Β You've had what I call The Awakening. There's a part of you that knows, deeply and quietly, that you were meant to make music. Not one day. Not when life slows down. Now. And the longer you leave it, the louder that feeling gets. Here's the truth β€” the best time to start was ten years ago. The second-best time is right now.

βž”Β  Β You're tired of making up excuses for why you're not doing your music. "I have work commitments... my life is crazy busy right now... I have to take care of my children... I'm too tired... I'm not good enough... what's the point... people will laugh at me..." I could go on and on. And so could you. πŸ˜‰

βž”Β  Β You're tired of feeling like music is something that happens to other people. You watch a friend, a sibling, or just another singer performing their own songs and think β€” that could be me. It should be me. And then life gets in the way and another month goes by.

βž”Β  Β You love the idea of sitting down at the piano and just... playing. Hearing a new song on the radio and being able to sing and play it within hours. Finding the chords to that melody in your head. No sheet music. No backing track. Just you, your voice and your piano.

βž”Β Β You are ready to finally show up for your music β€” even if you aren't quite sure how. Don't worry β€” I'll cover all of that.

βž”Β  Β You want to learn from someone who has actually walked your path. Not just taught it. I've been a professional piano vocalist for over 19 years β€” highly sensitive, dyslexic and unable to read a single note. I've helped hundreds of students fulfil their musical dreams, from complete beginners to professional performers.

If your heart just said yes to any of that β€” this is exactly where you belong.…
