You do need access to some kind of keyboard instrument — but it doesn’t need to be expensive or fancy.

A simple 61 key keyboard with touch sensitive keys is absolutely fine to get started. You don’t need a full size grand piano. You don’t need weighted keys at the beginning. You just need something you can sit down at and play.

If you already have a piano at home — wonderful. If you’re starting from scratch, a decent beginner keyboard can be picked up for as little as £100-£150. I’m happy to recommend some options inside the community once you join.

The most important thing is that you have access to something — anything — that you can practice on regularly. Even 15 minutes a day on a small keyboard will change your musical life. 💜
